It is with great sadness that we remember Dr. Leopold “Leo” Windtner, who passed away on 8 August 2025 at the age of 74. We will always remember him fondly for his work as long-standing CEO of Energie AG Upper Austria and his role as a valued advisor to Finadvice AG Switzerland.
Energie AG Upper Austria
From 1994 to 2017, Leo Windtner played a key role in shaping the development of Energie AG Upper Austria. Under his leadership, the company transformed itself from a traditional regional utility into a modern, diversified infrastructure group with a focus on future-oriented topics such as renewable energies, digitalisation and energy efficiency. We had the privilege of accompanying him and Energie AG Upper Austria in some of these tasks and celebrating joint project successes.

After leaving Energie AG Upper Austria, Leo Windtner continued to support us as an advisor to Finadvice AG Switzerland, always contributing his entrepreneurial drive and strategic vision. His support was characterised by constructive cooperation and human warmth.
